What do the statuses in my survey history mean?

Started, Finished, Screenout, Quota full, Survey closed, Disqualified and Declined — what each status in your survey history means.

Updated September 27, 202617 views0 found helpful

Every survey you open appears in History with its number and a status. This is what each status means.

Survey numbers

The start of the survey number shows where the survey comes from:

  • PS — our partner PureSpectrum
  • LC — our partner Lucid
  • TGM — TGM's own surveys

Partner surveys follow the partner's own quality rules, and a partner can correct a result after its final check. Always quote the survey number when you contact support.

Statuses

StatusWhat it means
FinishedYou completed the survey. The reward is added to your balance.
StartedYou opened the survey but it was not completed — for example, you left before the end, the session timed out, or the survey closed before you finished.
ScreenoutYou did not match the target group, you had already taken the survey, your location did not match (for example because of a VPN), or your answers did not pass the survey's quality checks.
Quota fullEnough people from your group had already answered.
Survey closedThe survey was no longer available when you opened it.
Disqualified / FraudulentThe survey provider rejected your answers after a quality or security check — often because of a VPN, a hidden IP address or a problematic browser (see VPN, apps and location issues).
DeclinedYou left the survey, or it could not be opened because of an error on the provider's side.

Statuses from the survey provider

When you contact support, you may also hear about a status recorded by the partner who ran the survey, for example Lucid:

  • In Screener — you were still answering the qualification questions when the session ended.
  • Never Reached Client — you did not get past the partner's checks to the client's survey.
  • Quality Term — the partner ended the survey because of its quality checks.

These are the partner's final decisions. We cannot change them or add the reward manually.

Why does a survey show "Started" and I got no reward?

Most likely the project closed before you finished your survey. Each project needs a limited number of answers, and the reward goes to the people whose surveys are completed first. That is why it is worth answering invitations as soon as possible.

I finished the survey but the status is different

After a project ends, the survey provider verifies the answers, and the status can change after this check. If a survey still shows the wrong status a few days later, contact support with the survey number and a screenshot of the final page.
