Why did I get a survey in a different language?

Survey language is set by the research partner, not by TGM Panel. Here is what to do when a survey arrives in another language.

The language of a questionnaire is decided by the research partner who runs it, not by TGM Panel. Sometimes a survey is only available in one language, or a multinational study has fewer translations than the countries it is sent to.

What you can do

  • Skip it. If you do not understand the language, simply close the survey and wait for the next invitation. You are not penalised for skipping.
  • Complete it if you speak the language well enough to answer every question honestly.
  • Avoid automatic browser translation. It can change the meaning of questions and may break the survey.

Countries with several official languages

If you live in a country with more than one official language, you may receive surveys in any of them.

If it happens all the time

If most of your surveys arrive in a language you do not speak, check that your profile shows the correct country, then contact support.
