Most surveys take about 10–15 minutes. A typical survey has 20 to 30 fairly short questions. From time to time there are longer surveys with more detailed questions.
The estimated time is always shown in the survey description and in the invitation email, together with the reward.
Why a survey can take longer than the estimate
- The estimate is an average. Some people read and answer faster than others.
- Your answers change the path. Answering "yes" to some questions (for example, that you use a product) can lead to extra follow-up questions.
- Media and connection. Surveys with videos or images, or a slow connection, take longer to load.
- Partner surveys. Many surveys come from research partners, who set their own time estimates.
Tips
- Check the estimated time before you start and make sure you can finish. A survey cannot be resumed later.
- If you leave a survey before the end, it does not count as completed and no reward is paid.
- Do not rush. Answers given much faster than average can be rejected in quality checks, or the reward can be reduced.
